THINGS TO KNOW
Helpful hints and advice.....

Embroidery Vs. Print

When creating a logo or design the end use is
important to the design. Example: Both images
to the left are fine for print but only the top one
will work for embroidery.  It is a vector image and
has no gradient shading in it, just solid color.
This is because the needles in the embroidery
machine can not duplicate gradient shading.
The end result is the image will not be as smooth
or polished as the one below.

Another thing to consider about embroidery art is
the number of colors in the finished image.  This
can have a huge impact on cost.  The image at
the top has 11 colors in it.  This translates to
thread.  The different shades of red and grey
added to the top image, was done to give the
illusion of shading.

With print or web images there are no limits,
however it is important to know what the end use
is as this will determine  the images formatting,
Large Scale Printing, Web Use, Standard Print.

Planning ahead and knowing the end use can
produce the perfect image (s) and save time
and cost.

COLORS

Monitor  and printer colors can vary widely from model to model. There are also infinite variables that may affect how you see colors both printed and on your monitor.  Monitor settings, ambient light, monitor quality & age can all affect how colors are seen.  Because of these reasons, we have no way of knowing how accurate your monitor colors are or what your
printer will produce.

The best way to ensure correct colors is to reference or specify a color standard such as Pantone, RGB, CYMK, FED-STD-595 or 6 digit HTML colors.

Logo Rebuild
Below is an example of taking an existing image and giving it a complete overhaul.
Here we kept the key points and came up with a different character and style for the Blue Foxes.
Logo Clean Up
Below is an example of taking an existing image and giving it a facelift.  We kept all the original
elements of the Screamin' Demons, but updated the character and made it easier to understand.
